” se Cristo non \u00e8 risorto, \u00e8 vana la vostra fede e voi siete ancora nei vostri peccati.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conosciamo tutti la narrativa della creazione nel libro della Genesi. Quando Dio cre\u00f2 tutto ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 visibile e invisibile, lo cre\u00f2 dal nulla. Cos\u00ec \u00e8 stata la “Nuova Creazione”, attraverso, con e nella risurrezione di Cristo, creata da una TOMBA VUOTA; dal niente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come afferma chiaramente San Paolo, \u201cse Cristo non \u00e8 risuscitato, allora \u00e8 vana la nostra predicazione ed \u00e8 vana anche la vostra fede. Noi, poi, risultiamo falsi testimoni di Dio, perch\u00e9 contro Dio abbiamo testimoniato che egli ha risuscitato Cristo, mentre non lo ha risuscitato, se \u00e8 vero che i morti non risorgono. Se infatti i morti non risorgono, neanche Cristo \u00e8 risorto; ma se Cristo non \u00e8 risorto, \u00e8 vana la vostra fede e voi siete ancora nei vostri peccati. E anche quelli che sono morti in Cristo sono perduti. Se poi noi abbiamo avuto speranza in Cristo soltanto in questa vita, siamo da compiangere pi\u00f9 di tutti gli uomini.\u201d(1 Cor 15:14-19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come le donne che andarono alla tomba per ungere e prendersi cura del corpo di Ges\u00f9 anche quando era ancora buio, affrettiamoci a prenderci cura dei nostri fratelli e sorelle che sono il corpo di Cristo e che sono nell’oscurit\u00e0 dell’ingiustizia. Come il discepolo che vide, nient’altro che la tomba vuota, e credette, crediamo anche se non possiamo vedere nulla con i nostri occhi fisici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c8 passato tre anni e pochi mesi da quando sono venuto in Canada e ho celebrato pi\u00f9 messe funebri che altrove in tutti i miei 20 anni come sacerdote. Ho incontrato famiglie inzuppate di lacrime di dolore e sconforto. Molte volte non avevo parole per consolarli. Con tutte queste famiglie una cosa che le univa era la loro fede nella risurrezione che infatti ci \u00e8 stata proclamata dalla “TOMBA VUOTA”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In questo momento la nostra fede non \u00e8 stata vana, quindi gioiamo perch\u00e9 come dice sant’Agostino \u201csiamo un popolo pasquale e l’alleluia \u00e8 il nostro canto<\/em>\u201d. Buona Pasqua a tutti<\/em><\/strong>.    Pd. Donbosco Mawdsley, SMA<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are all familiar with the creation narrative in the book of Genesis. When God created all that is visible and invisible He created it from nothing. So was the \u2018New Creation\u2019, through, with, and in Christ\u2019s resurrection, created from an EMPTY TOMB; from nothing.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As St. Paul states clearly, \u201cif Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation has been in vain and your faith has been in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified of God that he raised Christ\u2014whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised. If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have died in Christ have perished. If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied\u201d (1 Cor 15:14-19).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the women who went to the tomb to anoint and care for the body of Jesus even when it was still dark let us hasten to care for our brothers and sisters who are the body of Christ and who are in the dark of injustice. Like the disciple who saw, nothing but the empty tomb, and believed let us believe though we may see nothing with our physical eyes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been three years and a few months since I came to Canada and I have celebrated more funeral Masses than anywhere else in the whole of my 20 years as a priest. I have met families soaked with tears of grief and loss. Many times I had no words to console them. With all these families one thing that united them was their faith in the resurrection which in fact was proclaimed to us from the \u2018EMPTY TOMB\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this time our faith has not been in vain, therefore, let us rejoice because as St. Augustine says \u201cwe are an Easter people and alleluia is our song<\/em>\u201d.  Happy Easter to all<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Todos estamos familiarizados con la narraci\u00f3n de la creaci\u00f3n en el libro de G\u00e9nesis. Cuando Dios cre\u00f3 todo lo visible e invisible, lo cre\u00f3 de la nada. As\u00ed fue la “Nueva Creaci\u00f3n”, por, con y en la resurrecci\u00f3n de Cristo, creada de una TUMBA VAC\u00cdA; Fuera de nada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como dice claramente San Pablo, \u201csi Cristo no ha resucitado, tanto nuestro anuncio como la fe que ustedes tienen carecen de sentido. Es m\u00e1s, resulta que somos testigos falsos de Dios, por cuanto hemos dado testimonio contra \u00e9l al afirmar que ha resucitado a Cristo, cosa que no es verdad si se da por supuesto que los muertos no resucitan. Porque si los muertos no resucitan, es que no ha resucitado Cristo. Y si Cristo no ha resucitado, la fe de ustedes carece de valor y a\u00fan siguen ustedes hundidos en el pecado. En consecuencia tambi\u00e9n habremos de dar por perdidos a los cristianos que han fallecido. Si todo cuanto esperamos de Cristo se limita a esta vida, somos las personas m\u00e1s dignas de l\u00e1stima.\u201d (1 Cor 15, 14-19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como las mujeres que fueron al sepulcro a ungir y cuidar el cuerpo de Jes\u00fas aun cuando a\u00fan estaba oscuro, apresur\u00e9monos a cuidar a nuestros hermanos y hermanas que son el cuerpo de Cristo y que est\u00e1n en las tinieblas de la injusticia. Como el disc\u00edpulo que no vio nada m\u00e1s que la tumba vac\u00eda y crey\u00f3, nosotros creemos aunque no podemos ver nada con nuestros ojos f\u00edsicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Han pasado tres a\u00f1os y algunos meses desde que vine a Canad\u00e1 y he celebrado m\u00e1s misas f\u00fanebres que en cualquier otro lugar en todos mis 20 a\u00f1os como sacerdote. He conocido familias empapadas en l\u00e1grimas de dolor y des\u00e1nimo. Muchas veces no tuve palabras para consolarlos. A todas estas familias una cosa que las un\u00eda era su fe en la resurrecci\u00f3n que ciertamente nos fue anunciada desde la “TUMBA VAC\u00cdA”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En este momento nuestra fe no ha sido en vano, as\u00ed que alegr\u00e9monos porque como dice San Agust\u00edn \u201csomos un pueblo pascual y el aleluya es nuestro canto<\/em>\u201d.
